About the Artist

Self Portrait, 2006

Fred Stasek is a long-time artist in various mediums, as well as being a cabinetmaker and woodworker. He has found a perfect combination of the two efforts to create pictures in wood—marquetry—and incorporate that design into useful furniture, always with a fine finish.

  1. Fred,
David Becker here, a blast from the past, just saying hello. Going through Bodega I think of you. Wondering where life has guided you. Artist! Congratulations.

  2. Hi Fred,

Love your work. I am so happy you are doing so well. Talent must run in the family. Not ME

    Your Aunt, Barbara

    1. Thank you, Aunt Barbara, so good to hear from you as I have been so absent.

“Doing well,” might be a bit of a stretch, but indeed I’m still alive in this time of Covid. I’m glad that you are too.

  3. Hi Fred! My name is Kristin, I am the eldest grand daughter of your Aunt Barbara:) She told me about your work and I came here to check it out…..just BEAUTIFUL! I agree with my grandma, you are very talented but unfortunately that trait wasn’t passed down to me either. Lol I hope you continue to create these amazing works of art!

    What amazing work you do!
And to think that I have a Stasek original of Mt. Diablo! It holds a sacred place in my heart and home.
    Amazing work, Fred!
    Kudos!
